Biography

Laura Trela, MCD, CCC-SLP, is a certified speech language pathologist, specializing in the treatment of dysphagia and voice. She is also a certified Lee Silverman Voice Treatment speech language pathologist and provides McNeill Dysphagia Therapy.  Her professional interests include neurological disorders, dysphagia, voice disorders, cognitive linguistic disorders and speech and language disorders.


Among Laura’s common procedures are flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing and modified barium swallow studies.

Laura is passionate about being a part of her adult patients’ journey to recovery and helping them be able to eat again by mouth, communicate effectively or find their true, healthy voice.

She is a proud member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her three young grandchildren. Her other hobbies include reading, hiking, swimming and traveling.
