Overview of Arthritis
There are more than 100 different arthritis diseases. Arthritis and other rheumatic diseases are common conditions that cause pain, swelling and limited movement. They affect joints and connective tissues around the body.
There is no cure for arthritis. The goal of treatment is often to limit pain and inflammation and help maintain joint function. Your treatment plans may include both short-term and long-term methods to help manage your arthritis.
Treatment plans for patients will be determined by their care team based on age, medical history, type and stage of arthritis and personal preferences. Options may include:
- Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation
- Hyaluronic acid therapy
