Overview of Urgent Care
There are many kinds of healthcare facilities that will take care of you and your family. You don't always need to go to a hospital or emergency room but where you go depends on the type of care you need.
Urgent care centers give medical care right away. These centers can treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries. Urgent care centers provide medical care for conditions that aren't an immediate, serious threat to life or health. They are also the place to go when you need medical treatment outside of your primary care physician's regular office hours.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or go to your
nearest emergency room.
