Student Profile

Kole Bridges Pleasant Grove High School Senior Kole is in Career Exploration Program looking for his path in the medical field. He has served in Honduras on our Medical Mission team and has a heart for people. He already has his blood born pathogen certification - he is HIPPA certified and is midway through completing his phlebotomy certification. This scholarship would greatly benefit him toward his medical goals for college.
Lauren Bailey Liberty Hill High School Junior Lauren dreams of a career helping others. As a young girl Lauren wanted to become a veterinarian, however as she got older she has turned her attention to becoming a nurse anesthetist. Lauren is an excellent student and is active in dance, FFA and choir. She has made herself indispensable to the Liberty Bells dance team (as their manager). Lauren is the most responsible, respectful teen I have ever known.
Anna Beck Aledo High School Senior Anna personifies grace and perseverance. At the end of her 7th grade year she lost 90% of her hair to autoimmune alopecia. Despite severe social and health pressures, she continues to support her school in athletics, leading the athletic training team; maintaining a 4.0 GPA, holding leadership offices, serving her church as an acolyte, thurifer, chalice bearer, subdeacon and Sunday school teacher; holding leadership positions in academic clubs; lead advertising for theater musicals; and hold down two jobs.
Miriam Harris South Grand Prairie High School Junior Miriam is a very focused and driven student. She currently serves as an Athletic Trainer year round and is on the Sports Medicine Career pathway. She is an A/B student who has overcome her struggles with dyslexia and has received academic awards for her performance on the STAAR test. She also works year round as a life guard and serves in the nursery at her church. Miriam understands the importance of the medical field and literally assisted with CPR, reviving and saving her nephew's life this year.

New sports and orthopedic center in Waco, TX

When complete in 2019, Baylor Scott & White Sports and Orthopedic Center will be a 106,000 sq.-ft., four-story facility offering under one roof a full spectrum of sports medicine and sports performance services for athletes of all ages.
