Maps and Parking

Free parking is available in front of the hospital, clinic and emergency department. Complimentary valet parking is available at the Brindley Circles, Desk R and South Tower entrances.

Patient Navigation

Our patient navigators guide patients and their families through the often complex journey and decisions associated with treating cancer. They handle logistical and administrative details large and small, allowing patients and families to focus on healing.

Navigators are invaluable at helping coordinate care, educating patients and loved ones about their cancer diagnosis and what to expect, and helping find support resources and even clinical trials if necessary. They are a key resource providing education and answer questions about the cancer care process and what to expect.

Medical Services

Scott & White Vasicek Cancer Treatment Center is among only 4 percent of U.S. cancer programs to receive the Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award the last three survey cycles.

  • Cancer Surgery
  • Genetic Screening
  • High Risk Breast Clinic
  • Medical Therapy/Chemotherapy
  • Radiation Therapy

Cancer Surgery

We are proud to feature cancer surgeons on our medical staff who have developed pioneering and innovative surgical approaches, including minimally invasive techniques, as well as procedures that can be performed through the belly button to hide the incision.

While the surgical techniques and approaches are numerous, the goal is to remove cancerous cells and tumors, while minimizing side-effects and the appearance of scars as much as possible. We also have a highly skilled plastic and reconstructive surgery team to restore appearance if necessary.

Genetic Screening

Many cancers have a genetic component. We provide familial cancer risk assessments and help formulate plans for cancer prevention, screening and monitoring.

High Risk Breast Clinic

We have a special prevention and detection program for women at high risk of developing breast cancer.

Medical Therapy/Chemotherapy

Given the high number of cancer cases our center treats, the medical cancer specialists on our medical staff have vast experience in determining the appropriate course of chemotherapy and other IV-based medication treatments depending on each patient's needs.

Our infusion center allows patients privacy during treatment or the ability to socialize with other cancer patients receiving infusions at the same time.

Radiation Therapy

The board-certified radiation specialists on our medical staff have several types of radiation therapy technologies to select the most appropriate treatment option, including technologies that may reduce treatment times from six weeks to as little as five days depending on the cancer. Our team combines extensive experience and research with these advanced tools to precisely target and treat tumors, sparing surrounding healthy tissue and decreasing side effects.

Our radiation therapy program has system-wide accreditation by the American College of Radiology, which distinguishes us as the hospital-based cancer system in Central Texas to enjoy this designation.

Cancer was tough. Baylor Scott & White was tougher.

For Rebecca Alcozer, finding out she had breast cancer was like a punch to the gut. "It really hit me hard," she said. "But I decided to fight back."

At Baylor, Rebecca had a whole team of specialists in her corner. After surgery and chemotherapy, she's back to her favorite activities. Now with cancer behind her, she feels more empowered than ever. As she says, "When you come through something like breast cancer, you know you're strong."
