Baylor Scott & White Health is an advocate for greater healthcare pricing transparency and patient affordability. We provide a self-service price estimation tool to help you obtain accurate out-of-pocket expense estimates, along with other helpful resources to help you make more informed financial choices about your care.

Dining Options

Visitors may visit the Café for light meals or order food trays from the dietary department. Contact a staff member for ordering assistance. Some local food establishments will deliver food to the main entrance of the hospital.

Concierge and Information Desk

Visitor information/concierge desks are located in the main entrance of the medical center, where staff can assist you with general information, maps, notary public services and local eateries/hotel listings.

Public-use telephones can be found in the emergency department lobby on the first floor.

Visiting a Patient

Open visitation hours are available. Visitors need to enter through the Emergency Room between the hours of 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Visitor Lounges

There are designated lounges for visitors on patient floors. Specific areas have been designated for guests in other areas. If you are in a large group, we ask for your consideration of other patients’ families when seating is limited. Wireless laptops can be used in most areas by connecting to our visitor wireless network. Charging stations and outlets are also available in select lounge areas.

Please restrict your use of these devices to visitor lounges and non-patient care areas.

Volunteer with Us

We rely on our generous volunteers to provide several special services. Every volunteer enhances the patient experience in some way by supporting our culture of customer service. Join the ranks of our volunteers to get involved and make a difference.

ATMs

An automatic teller machine (ATM) is available in the lobby of the specialty clinic/day surgery department on the first floor.

Security and Lost and Found

Security officers regularly patrol the Taylor campus. To inquire about lost or found items, please contact 737.888.3100.

Medical Records

You can request copies of your medical records by completing an Authorization for Release of Information form and returning to the facility at which you received care.

Breast Imaging

Emergency Care

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Taylor is a 25-bed critical access medical facility. Residents of Taylor and the surrounding communities can receive 24-hour care in a Level IV trauma designated emergency department. Staffed by board-certified physicians, the 12-bed unit contains:

  • Two procedure/resuscitation rooms
  • One negative airflow isolation room for patients with communicable diseases
  • One decontamination room located inside the facility
  • An open layout that provides full visibility of all patients from two nurses stations
  • State-of-the-art monitoring interfaces with Baylor Scott & White Medical Center’s electronic medical record

Eye Care

There are many disorders of the eye that require clinical care by a physician or other healthcare professional. Our eye care team includes ophthalmologists and optometrists on the medical staff.

Home Care

Home ​care is a service that provides treatment within the comfort of your own home. The main focus of the home health team is to increase your independence and improve quality of life.

  • Difficulty with everyday life activities such as eating, grooming, bathing, dressing, transferring, walking, swallowing or wheelchair mobility

Imaging and Radiology

Advanced imaging technology provides clearer pictures for radiologists and other specialty physicians on the medical staff to provide a more accurate diagnosis that leads to a customized treatment plan, if needed, to start the healing process.​​

Inpatient Medicine and Hospitalists

Hospitalists, also known as inpatient medicine physicians, specialize in general medical care for hospitalized people. A hospitalist will provide care upon your hospital admission and will continue the care during your stay. The hospitalist handles admissions, coordinates diagnostic tests, works with your primary care physician and helps with your discharge.

Pain Management

Chronic pain can lead to a drastic change in a person's quality of life. At Baylor Scott & White, our healthcare professionals offer many options for advanced pain therapy.​

Skilled Nursing

After surgery or a severe illness, a patient may need professional care to aid in recovery transition from hospital to home. Patients recovering from illness or injury such as stroke, heart attack, cardiac surgery, hip and knee replacements, pneumonia, wound infections and dehydration can benefit from skilled nursing services.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Taylor is unique in offering this level of post-acute care or "swing bed service" which is not available in most acute care hospitals. The professional skilled nursing staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Taylor can provide a complete spectrum of care for the recovering patient (as prescribed by a physician) including:

  • Speech therapy
  • IV  medication administration

  • 24-hour skilled nursing car

Sleep Disorders

Help for sleep disorders is available at Baylor Scott & White Health. Our sleep program is dedicated to alleviating symptoms and improve sleep patterns and daily life for people with sleep disorders. We offer a full range of up-to-date diagnostic and treatment procedures as part of our comprehensive care program to help you get back to sleep.

To diagnose and treat sleep disorders, experts at Baylor Scott & White may use a variety of sleep studies and treatment methods, including:
