Every cancer patient has a unique set of circumstances that require a personalized plan of care. Our multidisciplinary teams across Cancer Research & Treatment Centers and other specialized programs take the treatment approach to the next level. At Baylor Dallas, developing a treatment plan involves the collaboration of the patient’s primary care physician with physicians and experts across a number of relevant disciplines.
During multidisciplinary tumor board conferences, difficult to treat patient cases are reviewed, including type and stage of malignancy, medical history, and the patient’s age and personal preferences. Our team of specialists thoroughly discuss and evaluate treatment options and offer recommendations regarding minimally invasive treatments, surgery, or advanced techniques.
