We also participate in national vascular registries, including the Society for Vascular Surgery’s Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI), with a focus on improving patient care in PAD and a range of vascular conditions. Our Dallas and Plano locations are among a small number of programs nationwide to have earned the highest VQI rating for eight years in a row.

Our areas of expertise
Our vascular team cares for all causes and stages of peripheral artery disease. Most cases of PAD are caused by the buildup of plaque in the arteries—called atherosclerosis. But we also treat PAD related to other less common causes, such as vasculitis.
We have treatment options for every stage of PAD, including:
- Asymptomatic PAD, may be detected through a screening or checkup
- Symptomatic PAD or claudication, which causes symptoms like leg pain, especially during activities
- Critical limb ischemia, a severe limb-threatening form of PAD
- Acute limb ischemia, a rare emergency complication of PAD
Your care experience
Our care approach not only treats PAD but also addresses the causes behind your condition over the long term, allowing you to take preventive steps that keep PAD from getting worse.
You’ll start by having a consultation with our vascular team, who will help you understand your condition and may order diagnostic testing to get a closer look. When possible, we’ll give you nonsurgical or minimally invasive options before choosing traditional surgery. Our team also provides ongoing follow-up care to monitor your vascular health.
We’ll guide you through every step of your care, focusing on your overall well-being.
Real stories, real results
Gary Aspelin – Dallas
Gary Aspelin had a family history of PAD affecting the carotid artery. So when something felt off, he mentioned it to his doctor. Tests showed his carotid artery was 90% blocked and revealed three blockages in his heart. Our team performed surgery to restore blood flow.
“The lesson here is to go to your doctor for your physical. I was able to avoid permanent damage to my heart because I went for a checkup.”
How a routine physical detected this man’s dangerous heart blockage
