Patient Greetings

Brighten the day of a patient with an eGreeting — a personal message hand-delivered to your loved one.

Visiting a Patient

Visiting hours in the hospital are from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, and one family member may stay with the patient at all times.  Visitors are allowed in the ICU 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Visiting hours may vary in certain medical areas. Please check with the nurse to confirm the visiting hours.

Visits from relatives and friends can play an important part in your recovery; however, they can also be tiring. It is in your best interest that you get all of the rest that you can while in the hospital. If you feel uncomfortable asking people to limit their visits, you might ask a family member or friend to coordinate your visits for you. We do have some requests of our visitors:

  • Try to keep visits brief and to only two people at any given time.
  • Please have an adult accompany any children under 12 and do not leave them unattended.
  • Wash your hands before and after your visit so you don't spread germs to the patient.
  • If you have a cold, flu, or other contagious disease please wait until you are well for your visit.
  • Please be respectful of other patients and keep noise to a minimum.
  • If you want to bring food to a patient, please check with the nursing staff. Some diets are restricted.
  • Visitors may not smoke on the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple campus.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.

The Charles Blake Goddard Interfaith Chapel is located on the first floor of Brindley Circles, near Freshëns.

RV Park

The Scott & White RV Park is located on the southwest corner of the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple campus, just south of the Emergency Department Entrance. For more information, call 254.724.2216.

Fee
$25/night or $450/month if paid in advance; rates subject to change. All hookups (water, sewer and electric) are included.

Registration
No advance reservations are taken. Registration is on-site at the laundry facility. To get the laundry facility code, call 254.724.2216 upon arrival.

Amenities
The park has 35 slots, all back in and is self-service. It features full-service hookups, laundry, shower, restrooms, lounge area and two covered areas. Free Wi-Fi is available in laundry area.

Shuttle Service
Complementary shuttle service from RV Park to locations on Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple campus, Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center – Temple, lab, and Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Santa Fe.

Blood Donation Center

The Baylor Scott & White Blood center is the only local, hospital-based blood center in Central Texas. Your donations stay right here in your community to help your friends and neighbors. The Blood Center is located at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple in Room 115, across from McLane Dining Room.

Security

Security officers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. The Security Office is located in entrance of the Emergency Department on the ground floor of the South Tower.

Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery includes everything from body lifts to breast augmentation to liposuction. Hospitalists, also known as inpatient medicine physicians, specialize in general medical care for hospitalized people. A hospitalist will provide care upon your hospital admission and will continue the care during your stay. The hospitalist handles admissions, coordinates diagnostic tests, works with your primary care physician and helps with your discharge.​

Some kidney conditions may require treatment by a nephrologist, a physician on the medical staff who specializes in kidney care.
