Directions, Maps and Parking

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Baylor University Medical Center campus encompasses many hospital buildings, programs and office buildings. To assist with your visit to our campus, we provide detailed campus and parking directions, shuttle bus schedules and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) rail routes.

Dining Options

From coffee bars and on-the-go snacks to full-service cafeteria style dining, we offer visitors and family members a variety of options for on-site refreshments.

Gift Shops

Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing patients food or drinks to ensure they are appropriate for the patient. In intensive care units, please check with nurses regarding any gifts.

Visitor Lounges

There are designated lounges for visitors on patient floors. Specific areas have been designated for guests in other areas. If you are in a large group, we ask for your consideration of other patients’ families when seating is limited. Wireless laptops can be used in most areas by connecting to our visitor wireless network. Charging stations and outlets are also available in select lounge areas.

The use of wireless communication devices, such as cell phones, notebooks and laptops, can interfere with medical equipment and is restricted in all patient care areas. Please restrict your use of these devices to visitor lounges and non-patient care areas.

Baylor Police provide security escorts on the Dallas campus 24 hours a day. You may request assistance by calling 214.820.4444.

Between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., buildings are closed to the general public. The emergency and maternity entrances are always open.

MyBSWHealth is a online tool where you can communicate with your providers, schedule an appointment, access and manage your family’s health.

Insurance Accepted

Baylor Scott & White has established agreements with several types of insurances in an effort to make sure your health needs are covered.

To verify whether your insurance plan covers services rendered at Baylor Scott & White Health, contact your insurance provider directly by visiting your provider's website or calling the phone number listed on your insurance identification card. ​

Medical Records

You can request copies of your medical records by completing an Authorization for Release of Information form and returning to the facility at which you received care.

Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery includes everything from body lifts to breast augmentation to liposuction. These procedures can be nonsurgical or surgical and reshape normal structures of the body ​to improve appearance. We work with you to help determine the right procedure for you based on your unique needs and circumstances, and your privacy is always a priority.​

Reconstructive surgery is performed on parts of the body caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors or disease. It is generally performed to improve functions but may also be done to approximate a normal appearance.

Dentistry and oral surgery services are provided by specialists on the medical staff including general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and prosthodontists. The majority of care is provided in the clinic setting, although the doctors also utilize the operating rooms for special needs patients and major surgery.

Inpatient Medicine and Hospitalists

Hospitalists, also known as inpatient medicine physicians, specialize in general medical care for hospitalized people. A hospitalist will provide care upon your hospital admission and will continue the care during your stay. The hospitalist handles admissions, coordinates diagnostic tests, works with your primary care physician and helps with your discharge.​

Kidney Disease

Some kidney conditions may require treatment by a nephrologist, a physician on the medical staff who specializes in kidney care.
